About this app

This page reproduces the SvelteKit demo app. You can make your own by typing the following into your command line and following the prompts:

npx sv create

This standalone copy contains its HTML, styles, images, fonts, and JavaScript in one file. The counter, page navigation, and word game run locally in your browser.

The Sverdle page keeps the original game layout and word list. This copy uses JavaScript to play locally; guesses are not submitted to a server or stored in cookies.

How to play Sverdle

Sverdle is a clone of Wordle, the word guessing game. To play, enter a five-letter English word. For example:

The y is in the right place. r and t are the right letters, but in the wrong place. The other letters are wrong, and can be discarded. Let's make another guess:

This time we guessed right! You have six guesses to get the word.

This standalone copy runs Sverdle in your browser. JavaScript is needed to play; guesses stay in memory and are not sent to a server or stored in cookies. Reloading starts the same first puzzle for this domain.
